In particular, color masterbatch is a kind of pigment particles used for dyeing and coloring, with a complete color spectrum. It is made of dye or pigment mixed with carrier material, with solubility or dispersibility, and is used to color plastic, fiber, coating and other materials.

In the spinning process, color masterbatch can be mixed with other raw materials, and then through melting, spinning and other steps, finally produce polyester yarn with specific colors.

Using color masterbatch for pre-spinning coloring usually requires only two steps: spinning and warping and weaving, which can reduce process flow and high temperature energy consumption, while avoiding the generation of large amounts of dyeing and printing wastewater. Therefore, it is considered an environmentally friendly coloring method.

Using the traditional production of colored fabrics requires multiple processing steps, including spinning (yarns), high-temperature high-pressure dyeing of yarns, warping and weaving, etc. The printing and dyeing step involves using conventional spinning methods to produce white polyester filaments, which are then dyed with dispersant dyes under high temperature and high pressure. This process is not only long-lasting, but also requires high energy consumption at high temperatures, and discharges large amounts of printing and dyeing wastewater, causing certain pollution to the environment.

How to dye polyester yarn？

1. Prepare raw materials: Prepare PET chips, color masterbatch and other raw materials.
2. Drying treatment: Dry the PET chips and color masterbatch to remove the moisture. This is helpful to ensure the stability of the subsequent process and product quality.
3. Mixing: Mix the PET chips and color masterbatch at a certain amount and ratio.
4. Extrusion: Put the mixture into a screw extruder to extrude, so that the PET chips and color masterbatch are fully blended.
5. Filtration: Filter the molten material to remove impurities and undissolved color masterbatch.
6. Spinning: Put the filtered molten material into a spinning box, and spin it through processes such as side blowing, oiling, and hot rolls to form pre-networking, stretching, and setting steps, ultimately forming polyester yarn.
7. Winding: Wind the polyester yarn into a finished product.
